About Care In Place
Care In Place was founded by Erin, with her uncle Brian helping bring the business to life. Together, they understand what it means to care for someone you love, each from a different angle.
Erin brings a decade of hands-on experience as a professional caregiver in the home care industry. She has worked closely with families and seniors every day, and she has learned what truly helps and what doesn’t. That experience led her to start Care In Place. Her goal was simple: bring real in-home care in Dubuque to local families, the same personal, professional care she would want for her own family.
Brian is retired now, but he stays busy. He handles much of the marketing for Care In Place, and he steps in as a caregiver himself whenever the team needs an extra hand. Right now, much of his time goes toward caring for his 92-year-old father, who lives with dementia. He helps his father stay comfortable, stay engaged, and keep enjoying life in the home he loves. Because of that experience, Brian understands firsthand what good care at home can mean for a family.
Our Mission
Growing older, or living with a condition like dementia, shouldn’t mean giving up independence or joy. That’s the belief this business was built on. Our goal is simple: we provide the kind of care we would want for our own family members. That means care that is patient, respectful, and genuinely attentive to each person’s needs. In every visit, we try to treat your loved one exactly the way we would want ours treated.
